Hardwood flooring provides many benefits to your greater The Woodlands, Magnolia, Spring, Conroe, and Tomball area home. It is very durable and adds beauty and value. There are many different species of wood to pick from, but walnut hardwood is one of our favorites! Walnut generally comes from Brazil or North America and is known for its dark and sleek look. Learn more about the different looks and benefits of walnut hardwood below.
The Look of Walnut
Walnut is a very popular hardwood species due to its complex grain patterns, chocolate hues, and beautiful undertones that range from yellow to purple. This species looks beautiful with or without a stain and can be further customized with different textures and sheens. Walnut adds a classic, elegant, and unique look to any home due to its varying grain patterns that differ from board to board.
Walnut is on the softer side of the hardwood species, coming in at 1,010 on the Janka hardness scale. While it is not incredibility durable, it will hold up well to everyday wear and tear. Like most hardwood, you can sand and refinish it several different times to get rid of any dents and scratches that occur.
Other Things to Know
